A Goodnight Moon pajama party
Hard to tell in this picture but those are Goodnight Moon pajamas that Grant is wearing |
I did my best to convert our dining room into the scene of Goodnight Moon. With the purchase of some clearance fabrics and my sewing machine, I was able to make the curtains and bunny's bed which also served as our serving table for all of the food.
My fancy artistic skills included a picture of a cow jumping over the moon, with three little bears sitting on chairs nearby.
We also couldn't leave out the comb and brush and bowl full of mush.
The kids colored a scene from Goodnight Moon and a cow jumping over the moon. They also painted stars to put in their goodie bags to take home. Unfortunately because of all the illness going around right now we had a couple of children who couldn't make it so Grant and his friend Addie held down the fort painting.
Overall, it was a great time... Laid back and relaxing with some of our family and some of Grant's friends.
We opted for cupcakes again this year made by a friend of ours who does it on the side. They were delicious with handmade bunnies and cows to top them off!
Grant got some amazing gifts. It will be a long time before he needs any trucks, tractors, or construction equipment. He is a pro at tearing into wrapping paper and flew through opening everything.
Thank you to everyone for celebrating Grant's 2nd birthday with us!
I will be waiting until after Grant's two year check up on Friday to do his 24 month post.
